Weapon Fusion
Weapon Fusion is a new crafting system in DW3: Complete Edition Remastered. Forge ultimate weapons by consuming unwanted weapons and transferring their elemental attributes and skills to other weapons.
Elements
Gradually burns the target's life.
Impact with the ground causes a shock wave that hits nearby enemies and can potentially cause another shock wave.
One-shots normal peons; deals percentage damage to officers.
Weapon Tiers
In Dynasty Warriors 3, every officer has access to up to five weapons:
- Tier 1–3 — base weapons, unlocked as the officer levels up.
- Tier 4 — the officer's signature fourth weapon, unlocked by fulfilling stage-specific requirements.
- Tier 5 — added in the Xtreme Legends expansion; visually distinct from base weapons, with a unique blue hue for the 4th/5th tier drops.
Each weapon can roll with one of three elements: Fire, Lightning, or Steel. The same element definitions carry forward into Weapon Fusion in the Complete Edition Remastered.
- The difficulty must be set to Hard.
- If a stage requires defeating sub-officers, defeating the main officer plus the nearby sub-officer before they retreat still meets the requirement.
- If using 2 players, as long as one player meets the requirements the weapon will appear.
- The 4th weapon can have no element, or one of: Fire / Lightning / Steel.
- Unlike later titles, only specific attacks with the 4th weapon will have elemental activation.
Digital Deluxe — 42 Weapons
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes 42 additional weapons. Per KOEI TECMO's footnote, these weapons can also be used for Weapon Fusion, making the Deluxe bundle a practical shortcut to powering up your arsenal.
